I am licensed as a psychologist in California: PSY 20991

Educational Background:

I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and my B.A. in Psychology from Pomona College. I completed an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship at the University of Southern California and a post-doctoral fellowship at U.C. Berkeley.

Work Experience and Clinical Training:

My clinical training includes work in university counseling centers, community mental health agencies (one general and one serving the LGBT community), a career counseling clinic, and an adolescent residential treatment center.

Additional Training:

I have been trained in mindfulness-based approaches for stress reduction and infertility, the treatment of prenatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, facilitating women's and couples' adjustment to parenthood, helping people heal from perinatal loss, multicultural issues in counseling (with a focus on sexual orientation and gender), treating eating and body image issues, and working with survivors of trauma and abuse.
